Andreas Somogyi’s passion for cars began at a very young age. His very first sketch was the outline of a car, and so began a lifetime of love and admiration for a car’s bold design, curvaceous lines, and streamlined looks.  He has worked in the automotive industry since he was 16 years old, gaining experience in various tuning facilities along the way with hands on training in both street and racecar applications.

Over the last decade Andreas was part of the hit television series on The Discovery Channel called “Overhaulin’,” working in conjunction with top fabricators in the automotive industry including Chip Foose. While working side by side with Chip and the A-team, Andreas perfected his craft and became lead fabricator on the show.

With 11 years and 104 episodes under his belt, Andreas decided it was time to start his own shop which is located in the heart of the Coachella Valley. Here he continues to express his passion by building custom cars and creating large scale automotive racing paintings and metal sculptures.

Andreas is collaborating with the Sip coffee house and juice bar to share with others their love and passion of vehicles, and to gather for fun and stories amongst car and motorcycle enthusiasts.

The events are held on the first Saturday of every month at Sip Coffee House & Juice Bar located at 44100 Jefferson St. on the corner of Fred Waring in Indio. Check them out this Saturday, August 1 from 6-9am.

You can find Andreas Somogyi at his business 7 Sixty Automotive Group at 43010 Madison St., Indio, Ca 92201 or call 714.743.9260.
