On November 5 At Desert Willow Golf  Resort

The public is invited to attend exciting event showcasing local TV personalities, Inspiration Awards, and GoGirl! Grant graduates and recipients.

GirlFriend Factor, dedicated to helping women reach their potential and achieve their goals through higher education and occupational training, is holding its annual GoGirl! Luncheon on November 5, from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert. The event celebrates the impact, influence and inspiration women have on each other. Highlights of the luncheon include an interactive panel discussion with women in media from local television stations, an Inspiration Awards ceremony, and giving recognition to the recent GoGirl! Grant recipients.

Participating in the event and supporting GirlFriend Factor are television anchors and reporters leading a discussion about women in media, with a glimpse into their own careers, including insight into the challenges and rewards they have experienced. These media professionals include award-winning news anchor Karen Devine, Brooke Beare, Samantha Cortese and Bianca Rae – from local KESQ ABC Channel 3 and KPSP CBS Channel 2.

The Inspiration Awards recognize three women who have influenced and inspired GirlFriend Factor and our community. This year awards will be presented to Associate Dean Doris Wilson of CSUSB; Executive Director Christy Porter of Hidden Harvest; and a GoGirl! Grant graduate, Jennifer Stebbins Ettleman. In addition, many of the current recipients of GoGirl! Grants will be in attendance to meet their supporters and share their stories.
