On Friday, May 16, United Way of the Desert is holding its 24th Annual VIP Gala: “Build A Pathway Out of Poverty,” hosted by Honorary Chair, Richard Kite. This is the first public event at the newly opened Ritz Carlton, Rancho Mirage. Tickets are $250 and $2500 for a Table of 10 Bronze Sponsor. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available. California Elegant Attire is the evening’s dress. “We’re thrilled to be the first event at the newly opened Ritz-Carlton and hope that will encourage a large turn-out for our annual Gala,” said UWD Board President, Richard Houck.

Cocktails kick-off the Gala at 5:30 on the terrace 650 feet above the Valley floor. The festivities continues with a chef prepared dinner at 6:30 and a “Best of the Valley” gift raffle followed by a lively “Fund a Pathway” Live Auction. After dinner entertainment will be provided by the Hot Purple Energy All-Star Ensemble. All proceeds benefit the United Way of the Desert and the Pathways out of Poverty Community Impact Fund.
