Spa Resort Casino will host a “Rockin’ 80s New Year’s Eve Party” on Monday, December 31. The event will be marked by a special performance by the electrifying rock stars from the original cast of Broadway’s groundbreaking musical “Rock of Ages.”
The Spa Resort Casino event kicks off at 8 p.m. in downtown Palm Springs with music provided by DJ Dense, noted Los Angeles DJ and Music Director for the Los Angeles Clippers. From 10:30 p.m. to midnight, Broadway’s Rock of Ages Band will play a concert featuring the greatest rock hits from the glam metal bands and rockers of the ‘80s, including songs by Bon Jovi, Foreigner, Journey, Whitesnake, Poison, Joan Jett, Styx, Pat Benatar, REO Speedwagon, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, and many more. The event will also feature photo opportunities with roaming 80s lookalikes, food trucks and bar gardens with food and beverages available for purchase. The East Coast countdown will be shown live at 9 p.m. on screens visible throughout the event area. At midnight, a live multimedia countdown and fireworks spectacular will ring in the West Coast New Year.
