BBQ and Family Fun in Downtown Indio
The City of Indio is thrilled to announce the 9th Annual Indio BBQ Festival, a celebration of all things smoky, savory, and delicious! On Saturday, November 9, Downtown Indio will come alive with the irresistible aroma of BBQ, a festive atmosphere, and plenty of family-friendly fun. This year’s festival will be held at Miles Avenue and Smurr Street from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., and as always, admission is free for all ages.
This year’s BBQ Festival is taking a fresh approach, swapping out the contest for an all-out BBQ feast featuring signature dishes from each vendor. From local favorites like Uncle D’s Smokehouse BBQ, Smokey Lips BBQ, Big Dev’s BBQ and a variety of other local vendors, attendees will have the chance to indulge in a mouthwatering variety of BBQ dishes, giving them the ultimate BBQ tasting experience.
“The Indio BBQ Festival is one of our city’s most beloved traditions, and we’re excited to offer something new this year by focusing on a wide variety of BBQ dishes from local vendors,” said Mayor Lupe Ramos Amith. “It’s a wonderful way for families, friends, and neighbors to come together and celebrate our vibrant community. We invite everyone to join us for great food, fun, and fantastic entertainment!”
In addition to the culinary delights, festivalgoers can enjoy live entertainment at Center Stage, free carnival games and jumpers for the kids, and complimentary face painting. For the adults, the craft beer garden will feature refreshing brews from Indio Taphouse, offering the perfect pairing to the BBQ festivities.
