The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert is the beneficiary of an exciting fundraiser on Tuesday, February 18, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Las Casuelas Nuevas in Rancho Mirage. The fundraiser and friendraiser is hosted by Board of Director Chair, Catherine Robinson, First American Title and Fundraising Committee Chair, Erika Unruh, Stonegate West Real Estate Group. The event is generously sponsored by Andres and Tajah Delgado, Las Casuelas Nuevas.
Be a part of our 2nd Annual Fundraiser and a much-anticipated update for guests on the museum’s reIMAGINATION project and reopening and future Museum endeavors. The reIMAGINED gallery features new adventures such as children navigating a wild noodle forest, creating culinary masterpieces like grasshopper tacos in the Garden Taco Stand, and testing climbing skills in the Net Climbing Structure! Fundraiser attendees will also enjoy a margarita welcome and a wide variety of delicious light bites – all flavors of the Delgado 50-year family history of Casuelas restaurants in the Coachella Valley. “Growing up in the Coachella Valley, I have countless memories of spending joyful days at CDMoD, exploring, experimenting, and making lifelong memories with my parents and friends. Now, as a mom of two, it’s a dream come true to share those same experiences with my daughter and son. The first phase of the reIMAGINATION project focused on the innovative main gallery, new programming and camps, field trip programs, and increased accessibility including reopening as a Certified Autism Center. Future growth includes a Yoga Lawn promoting mental health among families, a building dedicated to Middle School and High School Aged Kids, expanded outdoor experiences and ongoing innovative programming and events.
CDMoD positively impacts the lives of our children, giving them a place to explore themselves and the world around them through curiosity, creativity, and discovery as they learn at their own pace. They create “Bright Beginnings” for our community’s future leaders.
