It’s that time of the year again. The season of glitz and glamour, Super Bowls, and WrestleMania. With that, comes a plethora of professional wrestling extravaganzas. One event in particular, hits very close to home…
For those in the Coachella Valley who have already had the pleasure of experiencing a live professional wrestling event put on by the EWF (Empire Wrestling Federation) you will know that when we tell you – You will have a time of your life, we aren’t exaggerating.
The superstars of the Empire are ready to lace up their boots once again. This time at the Banning Community Center. Yet, unlike events past, on Sunday, March 30th, they’re laying it all on the line.
In a single match that can make or break a professional wrestling career, the warriors will engage in a gigantic The Great Goliath Rumble match. For those who are not familiar, a Great Goliath Rumble involves multiple competitors each entering the ring at designated time intervals. The only way a combatant is eliminated is if they are thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. That’s right. Even if a wrestler is thrown over the ropes, yet their feet do not touch the floor, they will not be eliminated.
The significance of surviving a Great Goliath Rumble match is career changing. The notoriety, and potential title match opportunities that comes from such a distinction are unparalleled. What’s more… There are no friends, no team mates in a Great Goliath Rumble. It is every man for himself. To the victor indeed go the spoils.
On the card (subject to change) for the event will be, Michael Bad Wolf, current EWF champion. Banning’s own and fan favorite, Trailer King. Up and coming sensation, and current US Champion, The Big Bull. Eddie Ruiz, and of course, the dastardly group whose “movement” is taking the wrestling world by storm, Delirium (Slade, McCallion, and The Master).
You will not want to miss out on all the action inside the Banning Community Center on Sunday, March 30th. Doors open at 4pm, and bell-time is 5pm. There will be opportunity to take photographs with the stars, as well as merchandise, food, and beverages.
Unlike many independent professional wrestling groups, EWF is proud to be “family entertainment”. That’s right. Feel at ease to bring your young ones. For over thirty years, the EWF has been the leader in family friendly independent wrestling entertainment, and they plan on doing so for many years to come.
