A unique opportunity has arrived for the local desert community of La Quinta CA. For the first time in contemporary CBD history, CBD products, essential oils and Yoga will be offered, all, under one roof in La Quinta, California. As Sub Rosa Apothecary is located in Point Happy at Washington and Highway 111, the new business will present a special Yoga Workshop event that will include free sampling of products as well as an interactive Gentle Yoga-Meditation. “It is our mission, our intention to help everyone achieve the health and well-being they deserve.” – Said, Julia Meadows, owner of Sub Rosa Apothecary who is also co-producing the workshop with Yoga Therapist, Ren Rasa Yogamaya, E-RYT 500 and Sponsor, Alexis Gershwin.
Ren Yogamaya tells this story. “Many of my clients’ lives were turned upside down when they were diagnosed with brain cancer and other diseases. And now many of them became lucky through Yoga therapy when they changed their approach to other methods of healing. However, the chemotherapy and radiation left some of them with chronic, debilitating neuropathy, pain. Many doctors did what they knew to do, prescribed pain medications. Unfortunately, these meds offered only minimal relief and it took patients five months or more to wean off dangerous opioid drugs. CBD and other natural remedies became their optimal answer. Speaking with clients, many had tried everything, but it was a topical CBD cream that finally provided the pain relief that gave many the return of a better quality of life. I researched and read up on it and decided to combine, offer the additional benefit of gentle Yoga and meditation. It was fun and it works! I’m here to take the mystery and confusion out of CBD and essential oils to help others discover the myriad of health benefits. We know it can be overwhelming, confusing and expensive, so I have partnered with Apothecary shop store owners to educate and offer high quality, affordable CBD products and essential oils you can trust.”
In May of 2015, CBD first became legal in the USA. On May 22, 2019 the California Assembly unanimously passed the Bill, AB228 that allows the sale of CBD products. Also, under Assembly Bill 710, the California legislature states that CBD can legally, be prescribed. Offering a wide range of Essential Oil products, Sub Rosa Apothecary and now many other CBD shops sell from topical creams, tinctures, drinkables, edibles, capsules, oral sprays to pain relief for pets.
Ren Rasa Yogamaya, E- RYT 500 is excited to partner with Sub Rosa Apothecary. Yogamaya, a leader and author in the California Yoga community with over 25 years of experience, opened Palm Springs first Yoga center, Bodhi Ren Yoga in 1997 and spent more than ten years with Bhakti Fest. She presently lives in Los Angeles and since 2011, she returns to the desert on monthly visits.
