Indio Pickleball Open to be held March 7 in Support of the Indio Senior Center
The City of Indio is proud to announce the inaugural Indio Pickleball Open, a charity pickleball tournament supporting the Indio Senior Center, taking place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Miles Avenue Park, located at 82540 Miles Avenue.
The Indio Pickleball Open will feature a mixed doubles format, played round-robin style with a finals match, welcoming players of all skill levels for a day of friendly competition and community wellness. Tournament sessions will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. followed by an award ceremony.
“Pickleball continues to grow in popularity across all ages, and we are excited to host our first-ever Indio Pickleball Open while supporting a vital community resource like our Senior Center,” said Mayor Elaine Holmes. “Additionally, we recently added eight pickleball courts to Miles Avenue Park, and this tournament is a great way to showcase these park improvements.”
Registration is $35 per player, with proceeds supporting the Indio Senior Center to continue to provide programs and services that support active and engaged seniors. The event is powered by Main Court Pickleball, with Gearbox Pickleball serving as the official ball sponsor.
