The City of La Quinta is welcoming the winter season with snow in the desert, twinkling lights, handmade gifts and holiday cheer. Join the community in celebrating the holidays at the Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 5 and at other festive events throughout the city in December.

Annual Casita Lighting at La Quinta Museum | December 3, 2025 | 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

The La Quinta Museum is thrilled to invite the community to its annual Casita Lighting. Sip hot chocolate under the night sky, listen to music by Mariachi Flor de Dahlia and watch as the Casita lights up the night for a one-of-a-kind holiday experience in La Quinta.

Get ready for snow in the desert! Join the City of La Quinta for their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Civic Center. The event brings holiday cheer for the community – snow play, train rides, live performances and a visit from Santa are in store.

The 7th Annual Gingerbread Lane is back this year at Old Town Artisan Studios. Stroll through beautiful holiday decorations, see a 17-foot Christmas tree and enjoy cookie decorating, ornament painting, live performances and special appearances from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
