On Thursday June 19th at 8pm, The Palm Springs Copa, in association with Some Fabulous Leo’s, will present some very funny comedians while raising money for CASA for Riverside County, Inc.. CASA is a non-profit organization which advocates for the rights of abused and neglected children placed in Riverside County’s foster care system. Lahna Turner has played top comedy clubs and theaters all around the world, along with numerous tours for the USO. In addition to touring, Lahna has appeared on NBC, Comedy Central, and VH1, and has been featured as a commentator on CMT Insider. She pitched and appeared in pilots for Showtime and VH1, can be seen in the film Teacher of the Year as well as an episode of the The Dog Whisperer. Her YouTube channel has received hundreds of thousands of hits and her two comedy albums have received airplay at top radio stations across the country. Her music has also been on National Lampoon’s Top 40 Comedy Countdown and is currently in rotation on Sirius Satellite Radio. Richard Weiss is a popular comedian, producer, comic strip author, and Palm Springs resident who shares openly in his comedic performances about his pilgrimage from insanity, shame, and pain to spirituality, love, and laughter. Richard’s credits include Caroline’s, The Standup to Addiction Tour (headliner), Cal State University of Northridge, National Lampoon, producer and host of the TV show Present Nostalgia, TLC, and CBS with Wayne Brady.
