beer tanksINAUGURAL COACHELLA VALLEY BEER WEEK KICKS OFF NOV. 13

The first-ever Coachella Valley Beer Week (CVBW) will be take place November 13-22 at breweries, restaurants, pubs and other venues throughout the greater Palm Springs area. This valley-wide celebration will showcase local breweries, festivals, dinners, tours, pub crawls, tastings and meet-the-brewer nights.

The event is being organized by Erin Peters, a popular craft beer writer known as “The Beer Goddess,” and Brent Schmidmann, founder/former owner of Schmidy’s Tavern in Palm Desert and current Head of Sales for Coachella Valley Brewing Company.

“We wanted to give Coachella Valley residents the opportunity to taste a variety of rare and new beers, meet area brewmasters and mix with other beer drinkers, all while celebrating the culture and community of beer,” said Peters. “This is a great opportunity to raise a glass and discover the valley’s burgeoning beer scene.”

Some of the highlights of CVBW include a food and beer pairing event at The Purple Room in Palm Springs, a BBQ and Beer competition at the Indio Municipal Golf Course, a progressive “beer crawl” on Palm Springs’ Buzz trolley, the 4th annual Props & Hops Craft Beer Festival at the Palm Springs Air Museum, tastings, live music and much more.

“Coachella Valley Beer Week is an extension of the growing craft beer revolution and we invite all enthusiasts to come enjoy the festivities and learn more about the art of making it,” said Peters.
