Coachella Valley Inks Former Everett Silvertips Captain for 2024-25 Season
The Coachella Valley Firebirds, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Seattle Kraken, have announced that forward Jackson Berezowski has been signed for the 2024-25 season.
Berezowski comes to the Coachella Valley after playing 59 games last season for the Newfoundland Growlers of the ECHL and one game for the AHL’s Toronto Marlies. The 22-year-old registered 54 points (18 goals, 36 assists) during his time with the Growlers
Prior to turning pro, Berezowski played a total of five seasons for the Everett Silvertips of Western Hockey League and was named the team’s captain prior to his penultimate season. Berezowski recorded 232 points (130 goals, 102 assists) in 273 games with the Silvertips and finished his junior career with a +72 rating. The 5-foot-9, 185-pounder ranks as the all-time leading goal scorer in Silvertips’ franchise history.

Coachella Valley Adds Kansas City Mavericks’ Standout Borchardt
The Coachella Valley Firebirds, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Seattle Kraken, have announced that forward Cade Borchardt has been signed for the 2024-25 season.
Borchardt signs his first AHL contract following a standout rookie season with the ECHL’s Kansas City Mavericks. The 26-year-old led all ECHL rookies with 77 points (24 goals, 53 assists) in 71 games and added 5 goals and 6 assists in 18 postseason games. The regular season performance earned Borchardt a ECHL All-Rookie Team nod.
Before turning pro, Borchardt played four seasons for Minnesota State University – Mankato where he served as the team’s captain for his senior year. Borchardt played in 121 games for the Mavericks, notching 85 points (29 goals, 56 assists). The Burnsville, MN native played junior hockey for the Sioux Falls Stampede and Madison Capitols of the United States Hockey League.
