This past Sunday night, Gina Carey, winner of the “Best Adult Contemporary Artist” at the 2015 CV Music Awards, performed a free concert in celebration of her newest album, Can You Dig It, at Clementine Gourmet Marketplace & Café in Palm Desert. She played to a packed room and brought the house down with her “Funkalicious” grooves.

The stellar performance had people on their feet dancing. Gina Carey’s impressive vocals have power, sexuality, soul, and tenderness all rolled into one dynamite package. It was a real treat to watch how her and husband John Carey feed off of each other’s energy.

You can catch Gina Carey (without her full band) every Friday from 2-5pm at Clementine’s beginning Oct. 2. She also performs at blu Ember at Rancho Las Palmas on Saturdays from 6-10pm.
