JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa is set to host the inaugural 2025 “Play for the Beat” Pickleball Invitational on Sunday, May 18. Organized by the Greater Palm Springs Marriott Business Council, this exciting event aims to benefit the American Heart Association of Coachella Valley.
The daylong tournament will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, welcoming participants of all skill levels to compete for a worthy cause. Teams of two can register for $150, which includes a guaranteed four matches, equipment, lunch, beverages, and a giveaway bag. The top 8 teams will advance to bracket play, competing for championship prize opportunities.
Introduced in the winter of 2023, JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa’s eight pickleball courts complement their renowned tennis program managed by the Peter Burwash International organization. Pickleball, recognized as the nation’s fastest-growing sport, is now available year-round at the resort.
