“THE FIT STOP – A MINUTE WITH MICHAEL”, is our new column allowing YOU the public to write in and ask Michael your fitness questions. Michael will answer questions. However, there is nothing more productive than a visit to the Coachella Valley’s Premier Fitness Center, KINETIX HEALH & PERFORMANCE CENTER to attain your fitness goals.

This week’s question comes from local resident, Karen. Karen, thank you for taking the time to write us this week.

Karen asks:

“Michael, I have a nagging lower back pain but love to workout. I know you’re not a doctor, but are you able to suggest any exercises I may try to help alleviate my pain? Thank you”.

Michael’s response:

“Hello Karen, it’s nice to meet you. My advice would be for you to investigate, Active Release Technique, or (A.R.T). Active Release Technique is a soft tissue message method that helps remove fibrosis and adhesions that develop in muscle tissues as result of overuse and or untreated injuries. A.R.T is a safe, non-invasive, and relaxing procedure for people who prefer not to, or who are unable to receive chiropractic treatments for pain management. If you find A.R.T is something you would like to try, please reach out to our facility and we would be more than happy to schedule you an appointment for A.R.T. Once you have tried A.R.T, I would also schedule a visit with a good local pain management doctor”.
