The Body Deli on El Paseo in Palm Desert has unveiled the “Love is in the Air” Barbie exhibition. With a celebration of love, affection, and romance, the vintage Barbie and Ken dolls will be on display through February.
The Body Deli’s Co-Owner Margaret Clark has been a Barbie collector for 60 years – since Barbie debuted. Clark created a summer vacation-themed Barbe exhibition when “Barbie” the movie hit theaters. In the fall the exhibition transformed into the “Falloween” exhibition for the season and Halloween; and in December the exhibition showcased holiday-themed settings and fashions. In this Valentine’s exhibition Barbie is most certainly Ken’s Queen of Hearts.
“Barbie and Ken are by far two of America’s favorite sweethearts, who have had a long-lasting love affair,” stated Clark. “This exhibition was installed to embrace their devotion and passion for one another, the beauty and glamour of Barbie, and the flawlessly handsome looks of Ken.”
