In a collision course of super bantamweights, The Coachella Valley’s very own Manuel “Gucci Manny” Flores (20-1, 16 KOs) and the undefeated Jorge “El Niño Dorado” Chavez (14-0, 8 KOs) will challenge each other in a high-stakes 10-round fight.
The main event will take place at the Special Events Center at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Thursday, July 24. Representing Coachella, CA, Manny Flores is an exciting fighter in the super bantamweight division. After debuting in June 2017, he quickly gained attention for his aggressive style and explosive power, stringing together an impressive winning streak. While he faced a setback in June 2023 with a unanimous decision loss to Walter Santibanes, he’s since bounced back in spectacular fashion, winning five back-to-back fights by knockout. Most recently, he headlined at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, where he delivered a stunning fourth-round knockout against Mexico’s Jorge Leyva, adding to his growing list of highlight-reel finishes.

Representing Tijuana and residing in San Diego, Jorge Chavez is one of Golden Boy’s most promising prospects. With a 60-7 amateur record, Chavez’s journey to the professional world wasn’t easy. As an immigrant fighter, he didn’t have the same opportunities to travel and build his amateur background as many of his peers, but his talent and determination have carried him through. Known for his boxer-puncher style, Chavez combines solid technical skills with the ability to generate power when needed. Chavez made his professional debut in November 2021, and after impressing in his early bouts, he signed with Golden Boy Promotions in November 2023.
