Even before you get to the top, the time should always be right now when it comes to giving back to others.
The expression, “pay if forward” has circulated for decades. There are those in life who generally wish for the success of others, and are willing to assist in any way that they are able. Sadly, there are those who do not. If you find yourself in the category of those who do wish well for others then this article will inspire a little more joy to your morning, afternoon, or evening.
For many of our local resident’s, KINETIX HEALTH AND PERFORMANCE CENTER has been a staple of their desert dwelling diets. If you wake up bright and early in the morning, catch a glance of yourself in the mirror and think, “today is the day I want to feel great and get healthy”, there is no need to go anywhere other than Kinetix Health and Performance Center in Palm Desert.
Michael K. Butler, owner of Kinetix Health and Performance Center, has applied his passion, and God-given talent of wanting to help heal others for several decades. Michael has accomplished this time and time again, as evident by Kinetix Health and Performance Center’s longstanding reputation as the valley’s beacon of hope when it comes to all attributes, fitness, and rehabilitation.
Aside from running the day-to-day operations of the valley’s premier fitness center, Michael performs ART (Active Release Therapy) aiding clients suffering from pain or sports related injuries. Over the years, Michael has assisted many celebrity athletes, including Jim Mora, notable NFL coach, as well as Cub Swanson, MMA and UFC fighting champion.
Kinetix Health and Performance Center is a multi-faceted fitness hub pact with all the latest and greatest fitness and exercise equipment, as well as the valley’s leading cryotherapy (containing nitrogen), infrared sauna, personal training experts, and a slew of other health boosting related therapies – which will be covered in the months to come.
One of Michael’s favorite pastimes aside from his involvement with Kinetix, is bicycling. Will Michael one day compete in Le Tour De France? My estimate is that if he ever were to compete, he would place extremely well due to his years of proper exercise and recovery, as well as wholesome diet, and other healthy lifestyle engagements.
Le Tour De France is undoubtedly a big name, and a big game for those who compete professionally. The recognition obtained is something to be desired. However, the recognition of Michael’s involvement in an upcoming bicycling event will offer far more than personal accolades. The race will be utilized as a means for raising funds for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
As many of you may already are aware, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital is a pediatric treatment research facility. It was established by entertainer Danny Thomas in 1962 and is a 501 3 (c) designated nonprofit medical corporation. The primary focus of St. Jude’s is children’s catastrophic diseases such as leukemia and other cancers.
Mauna Kea is a volcano that stands amidst Hawaii’s Big Island. Scaling 13,880 feet, when measured from the bottom of the ocean to Mauna Kea’s peak, it is the tallest peak in the world.
Michael will be attempting to ride a gravel bike up the volcano – and coming from below sea level in Palm Desert, this will be no easy feat. The most he has ever climbed in a single day was 15,000 ft, yet its elevation was 8800 ft.
In four months of fundraising, Michael has raised more than $11,000 for St. Jude’s. Last year, a team of four, including Michael performed in the infamous Race Across The West – a two and a half day cycling challenge from Oceanside, CA to Durango, Colorado. Michael went without sleep, and traversed 40,000 ft of climbing. He and his team won the race while raising $20,000 for children’s cancer.
