For the ultimate holiday-themed cocktail experience, visit the Miracle pop-up bar at Truss & Twine in the Uptown Design District in Palm Springs. Sip creatively curated cocktails such as the “Christmasapolitan,” “Rudolph’s Replacement,” “The Krampus,” and more, served in a collectible holiday mug or glass.

Miracle is a Christmas-themed pop-up cocktail bar that serves holiday cocktails in a festive setting. With kitschy holiday décor, professionally-developed cocktails and the nostalgic energy of the best office party you’ve ever been to, Miracle is sure to get even the grouchiest grinch in the holiday spirit. Multi-colored lights and painted white snowflakes and Christmas trees adorn the exterior of the bar. Inside, you’ll find Santa hats on every chairback, twinkling stringed lights and a snowflake light projector, gold garland lining bar shelves, and wall panels decorated like bows.

The decked-out menu features a cheeky mix of cocktails, like the Christmapolitan, a spiced take on a Cosmopolitan; the Snowball Old-Fashioned, which includes rye whiskey, gingerbread syrup, aromatic and wormwood bitters and orange essence and is served on top of a large snowball (frozen shaved ice); and Rudolph’s Replacement, which is essentially a chai-spiced espresso martini. Each drink comes in its own festive glass, like a unicorn or SanTaRex mug, which guests can purchase and bring home with them.

“It’s been amazing seeing the reaction to the pop-up in downtown Palm Springs. For me, as an adult, Christmas kind of loses that shine as you get older. It’s still fun and wonderful, but I have two young girls myself and having two young kids really brought the magic back to Christmas. That’s what I wanted to capture here for adults. Bring back the wonderment in the holiday. Having these fun cocktails and everything just brings back that magic like when you were a kid,” said  Truss & Twine bar manager Brandon Glass.

Miracle is currently underway and ends on December 31. Proceeds from select cocktails/merchandise benefit Seva Foundation, a global non-profit eye care organization that works with local communities to develop self-sustaining programs that preserve and restore sight. Reservations are encouraged to ensure seating.

The concept was born in 2014, when upon the advice of his mother, owner Greg Boehm decided to halt construction of what was to be his new East Village cocktail bar called Mace and transformed the unfinished space into a pop-up bar serving holiday-themed drinks among over-the-top Christmas decorations.

As crowds swarmed the New York City location, Boehm’s friends throughout the bar industry asked how they could recreate the holiday magic on their own turf and expansion became inevitable. The following year, Miracle expanded to four locations and in 2016, it went worldwide with pop-ups in Greece, Montreal and Paris. Currently, Boehm and manager Joann Spiegel are pleased to expand the concept to all corners of the US, plus pop-ups in Canada, Europe, Asia, and Central America.

Returning favorites include the beloved Rudolph’s Replacement and the Christmapolitan, a captivating blend of vodka, elderflower, dry vermouth, spiced cranberry sauce, lime, rosemary, and a subtle absinthe mist. Elevate your Monday evenings at Truss & Twine with the added indulgence of fresh oysters from Le Sel’s Oysters.
