I recently attended a mixer for Women Leaders Forum of the Coachella Valley at Kiki’s in La Quinta and had the pleasure of meeting Nicole Trigg. Her bright, caring nature and leadership were immediately evident, combining the emotions of joyful giving with her passion for florals.

Nicole Trigg, a devoted wife, and mother to three children—Tristan, Walker, and Olivia—channels her passion for florals through her business, Botanical Verbiage. Founded in 2019, Nicole dreams of expanding Botanical Verbiage into a shop and healing sanctuary someday. Deeply rooted in her faith in Christ, she actively supports and serves couples at Southwest Church. As an alumna of Leadership Coachella Valley, Nicole credits much of her personal growth and dedication to the program, which has heightened her awareness of the unique and special qualities of the Valley. Now serving on the Board of Directors, she continues to build impactful local leaders.

Reflecting on her journey, Nicole recalls starting Botanical Verbiage in 2019 with a clear vision, only to face unexpected challenges due to the pandemic. Despite these setbacks, she remained committed to her goal of making people feel treasured and loved through her floral creations. Her love for flowers dates back to her teenage years when she would create small arrangements for those in need. A particularly poignant memory is of her friend who was battling breast cancer and had just married a soldier deployed to Iraq. Nicole’s thoughtful bedside arrangements for her friend sparked the idea of using florals to celebrate and intentionally value people.

The pandemic brought unforeseen opportunities for Nicole, enabling her to serve her community through innovative collaborations and nonprofit partnerships. One notable collaboration was with Joyfully Grieving, where Nicole and Alyssa Batter, a fellow Leadership Coachella Valley alumna, organized healing workshops. These workshops allowed families to engage in hands-on activities and fostered meaningful conversations, offering comfort and support during difficult times.

Nicole’s service extends to various roles, including her position as creative director for Joyfully Grieving, an organization dedicated to helping families who have lost a child. Her mission is to create value and leave a positive impact on everyone she encounters. This often involves building new relationships with newcomers to the area, creating Language Arrangements for those mourning loved ones, sharing her entrepreneurial experiences to help others learn, and being fully present with her family. Nicole’s dedication and compassion make her a remarkable individual.

Nicole Trigg’s unwavering commitment to her faith, family, and community, coupled with her creative vision and compassionate heart, defines her journey with Botanical Verbiage. Her story is one of resilience, growth, and an enduring desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
