It was week #9 of The Open Mic Competition Summer edition 2015 and more new talent graced the stage and got the audience on their feet with applause! DJ Alex Updike kept everyone groovin’ in between performances and with giveaways for our audience, the night was full of surprises. Our celebrity guest judges this week- Trevor Stone and TK from MIX 100.5 had a tough job deciding between the talent. After the judge vote (50%) was tallied and added to the audience applause score (50%), and it was newcomer band, Bear Fight, who took home 1st place and tickets to the Mary Pickford Theatre. The band will now be moving on to one Semi Finals on 7/28 or 8/4. If they win there, they’ll compete in the finals 8/11 for a shot at a $500 trip to Las Vegas from Crater Lake Spirits, an Artist Development Workshop from Producer Ronnie King, and 8 hours of studio time plus a mix and master from JEM Productions. 2nd place went to the band, Avenida, who took home a gift certificate to Record Alley. 3rd place was awarded to Solus Lupus who chose $25 gift card to iTunes.
