Palm Canyon Theatre (PCT) will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its nationally known Summer Kids Camp from June 29 through Aug. 4, 2026, offering young performers six weeks of immersive theatre education and live stage productions.
Designed for children ages 6-17, the camp provides professional instruction in acting, singing, dancing, improv, stage combat, makeup, stagecraft and more. Participants are grouped by age and take part in multiple classes each day led by accredited teachers, guest artists and theatre professionals.
The six-week program runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Palm Canyon Theatre in Palm Springs. Early drop-off and late pick-up options are also available.
This year’s camp will include two full productions featuring campers. After the first three weeks, participants will perform The Wizard of Oz on July 16 and 17. Then on Aug. 3 and 4, students will perform Peter Pan. Students can participate in any of the six weeks of camp.
Organizers say the program is designed to help students grow both onstage and off – building confidence, creativity, teamwork and communication skills in a supportive environment. Whether a child is interested in pursuing theatre seriously or simply looking for a creative summer experience, the camp offers opportunities for all levels of experience.
Palm Canyon Theatre’s Summer Kids Camp has become a longtime tradition in the Coachella Valley and has helped inspire generations of young performers over the past three decades.
Tuition is $225 per camper, per week. Discounts are available for multiple children in a family.
