Palm Springs Hospitality Association are giving up golf for Pickleball. They are proud to announce their Inaugural Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, November 16th at Demuth Park for an exciting day of fun and Philanthropy. Tournament Sponsors Hilton Palm Springs and Visit Greater Palm Springs. The tournament will be held from 8 AM – 4 PM with an action-packed day of competition, charity and celebrity match highlights. The tournament is presented by Palm Springs Hospitality & Restaurant Association and will benefit the Palm Springs Hospitality Association Scholarship Fund and the Boys & Girls Palm Springs, with all proceeds supporting local youth and community programs.

A key highlight of the event is the celebrity pickleball match, where Palm Springs Chief of Police Andy Mills will take on Kim Jagd, star player for the Coachella Valley Scorpions in the National Pickleball League (NPL). Jagd, who also serves as General Manager and co-owner of the Scorpions alongside actor Vince Vaughn, is expected to bring her high-energy play to this exciting match

“We’re proud to host this tournament and thrilled to have such incredible celebrity participants,” said Celeste Brackley, President of the Palm Springs Hospitality Association and General Manager of The Saguaro Hotel. “This is a unique opportunity for the community to come together for a day of sport and give back to two fantastic local causes.”

Event Highlights:

  • Celebrity Match: Palm Springs Chief of Police Andy Mills faces off against Kim Jagd, NPL player, GM, and co-owner of the Coachella Valley Scorpions, in a thrilling pickleball match that is sure to draw attention from the local community.
  • PSHA Power Hour: From 11 AM to 1 PM, the tournament will showcase PSHA members as well as other celebrity and local leader matchups, adding extra excitement to the day.
  • Sponsorship Opportunities: Local businesses have the chance to sponsor one of the eight courts, contributing to the event’s goal of raising funds to support PSHA scholarships and Boys & Girls Club programs.
  • Charitable Cause: All proceeds from the tournament will directly benefit the PSHA Scholarship Fund and the Boys & Girls Club of Palm Springs.

“We’re encouraging everyone to come out, whether you’re a player or a fan,” said Kelly McLean, Tournament Chairperson. “This event is a great way to give back to the community, enjoy some competitive pickleball, and cheer on our local celebrities.”
