Plan A isn’t always the best plan, especially when there’s a Plan B. Plan B Live Entertainment & Cocktails that is. Plan B is a cool bar on the corner of Ramon and Monterey that changed ownership from Oasis on September 1, 2011 to new owner, Jeannette Krehbiel. I asked Krehbiel , who used to be in advertising sales and marketing, why she wanted to start a bar. “It’s something I wanted to do for a very long time,” she said.  “And I love the live music aspect of it and always wanted a live music venue.” Plan B doesn’t want to be pigeonholed into being thought of as one type of bar or entertainment. Krehbiel says they have something for everyone.

On Friday April 13th local rapper Ovadoz is hosting a rap showcase, beginning at 10pm. Saturday April 28th is a huge Fundraiser for the Braille Institute featuring local musicians, Long Duk Dong, Penny University and Soul Opus. It’s a $5 cover with the proceeds going to the Braille Institute to purchase instruments for blind musicians. The event is called “Musicians in the Dark”. Krehbiel is donating 10% of the bar sales that night to the cause as well. On Wednesday nights Plan B hosts Club Hypnotic with a DJ playing all your top 40 Hip Hop and R&B hits. On Saturday nights they host anything from rock to metal to rap and anything in between. Make sure and check out the website at www.myplanBbar.com.  So before you make plans to go out check your Plan B.
