There are few venues that compare to the glitzy Riviera Palm Springs. This iconic playground of the past has a fresh, playful twist. This was a Rat Pack hangout for Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. The Riviera’s famous pool parties have attracted Tinseltown elite, including A- listers as Paris Hilton, AnnaLynne McCord and James Franco.
Creating a “re-mix” of 60s influences, from oversized crystal chandeliers and vibrant shag rugs, to Andy Warhol pop art and an eclectic blend of retro furnishings, Riviera Palm Springs also boasts hundreds of towering palms, sparkling pools, private cabanas and intimate poolside fire pits.
In 2006, the property became a part of the Noble House family who purchased the property and gave the resort a $70 million modernization, including a luxurious spa, two sparkling swimming pools, signature fine dining and entertainment, 406 guest rooms and suites.
Happy Hour has taken on a whole new meaning with the addition of first class entertainment booked by the well-known Shauna Aguirre who is bringing in the best bands of San Diego and L.A. also the Kona Kai in San Diego and Portofino in Redondo Beach (Noble properties). She has 25 years in talent buying and special events. The Riviera has always been known for amazing food. The new infusion brings it up to that same level with first class entertainment.
The “Hot as Hell” pool parties which are open to the public (locals events) include a band from 7-10 at the Bikini Bar. “Zulluu” the African world beat will be playing twice in Sept and twice in October. On Thursday nights from 7-10 specialty cocktails, swimming, special pool foods and live music until Oct. 31.
Sunday nights at the Sidebar patio has been a local’s favorite for years featuring Will Donato and the Art of Sax. Will and the band have consistently been voted the ‘best’ in the desert for several years. Will Donato is a national recording artist who has had a string of smooth Jazz Billboard hits.
On Sunday August 25, 5-9 pm, Slim Man, national recording artist, vocalist, composer and entertainer (12 CDs) will be performing with J.D. Considine. (Rolling Stone Magazine) calls the Slim Man style…
“…a near-perfect example of how jazz and soul can be combined as pop. Slim has played in some of the top venues and was at the Catalina Jazz Festival and Michael Paulo’s Temecula Wine and Music Festival in May. In September Patrick Yandall will be there, and in Oct. JJ Sanservino will be the special guest.
On Labor Day weekend Todo Mundo Cumbio, World Beat Latin band will be on the patio Sat. night 7 to 10.
As you enter the lobby at the Riviera there is another beautiful piano lounge and live entertainment during Happy Hour with drink and food specials from 6-8.
