Script2Stage2Screen presents a fully staged reading of a new original comedy, The Most Distinguished Citizen of Ledbetter Gap, written and directed by Jason Hull of Palm Springs.

Perennial playwright/director Jason Hull and a talented cast of actors bring to life in an S2S2S fully staged reading Hull’s newest play, The Most Distinguished Citizen of Ledbetter Gap. Founder’s Day is coming up in the tiny Kentucky town of Ledbetter Gap (Population 986), and retired assistant librarian Lucinda Miller has been doing good deeds all year in the hope of being recognized with the town’s highest honor–The Most Distinguished Citizen Award. Her efforts may be for naught, however, when an awards committee member pulls a fast one and nominates the town’s wealthiest (and meanest) resident an unprecedented fourth time. Can Lucinda’s friends rally around her and find a way to make sure her name makes it onto the trophy? Join us for this hilarious and touching show to discover where to get worms, why you shouldn’t mow the lawn during an electrical storm, and most of all why it takes more than you think to win a big award in a small town.
