The Desert Rose Playhouse, the Valley’s live stage company serving the LGBT community, will present Terrence McNally’s LOVE! VALOUR! COMPASSION! opening Friday, January 16, 2015 for a five-week run. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM and Sundays at 2 PM.
Old friends can be a blessing and a curse. When famous dancer/choreographer Gregory opens his Dutchess County summer house for three summer weekends, his old friends troop out from law offices, rehearsal studios and AIDS clinics to sun themselves by the lake. John, Gregory’s rehearsal pianist and a frustrated composer, introduces his young lover Ramon and his dying twin James to the company resulting in uproarious humor and abundant pathos. Contains nudity and adult situations.
The ensemble cast includes Mark Demry, John Ferrare, Terry Huber, Jason Hull, Richie Sandino, Kam Sisco and J. Stegar Thompson.
The Desert Rose Playhouse is a project of Desert Rose Productions, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit corporation. LOVE! VALOUR! COMPASSION! continues Desert Rose Productions’ mission to produce and present literate, relevant and entertaining plays and musicals to LGBT and Gay-Friendly theatregoers in the Coachella Valley.
