Crystals and gemstones have long been considered objects of desire. They are widely recognized for their beauty and for having monetary value throughout the world. One of the reasons they are so valuable is because minerals are not always easy to procure. They form in the Earth and must be mined. Additionally, they often have to be cut using labor-intensive techniques or tumbled using machinery to unveil their most impressive qualities.
Apart from the material value and beauty of crystals, they serve as record keepers. Crystals store volumes of information in their bodies. They capture the frequencies of intentions. They hold the charge of your emotions. They document geological changes. They safeguard the stories of our ancestors. They do so without tainting or altering the integrity of the information they have recorded. Their ability to absorb and store information are qualities that give crystals great power as spiritual tools.
Minerals can convey the information kept within their crystalline structures when they are handled or sit in close proximity to the energy field of living beings. This means that the energy of ancestral wisdom and earth events can be transferred through a connection with a crystal recorder. Often times, when someone is granted access to this kind of energetic information held within a crystal, a healing event occurs.
Crystals and gems are also reported to have the ability to amplify energy that circulates through the auric field. Healers and metaphysical practitioners place crystals on or next to the body to boost energy flow. Increased flow can clear energetic obstructions and push stagnant energy out of the auric field. This typically has a restorative effect on the body which supports the healing process.
Crystals can be arranged in different configurations to work together in different capacities. These arrangements are called crystal grids. Energy workers use crystal grids to filter energy and purify spaces for specific purposes. When crystals are connected in geometric patterns their potency is magnified. Energy flow accelerates, clearing is amplified, and the space becomes a pure, closed container in which to work toward the intended objective. Crystal grids make powerful healing chambers.
Minerals and precious stones, depending on how they are cut, can function as distributors of energy as well. Typically, when a crystal is terminated, or has an end that has been cut to a point, energy exits from the crystal through the point in a compressed stream. That stream can be directed simply by pointing the tip in a particular direction. Healers use terminated crystals to deliver concentrated energy to parts of the body in need of healing.
You do not need any special training to tap into the energy of crystals. Intuition will suffice. Let your inner spirit guide you to the crystals that will benefit you most at this time. Set your intent and then place them on your body, or put them in simple geometric configurations around you to experience their healing power.
