The Four Tops helped define the Motown sound of the 1960’s. They are four powerful voices buoyed by four powerful friendships. The founding members of the Four Tops, Levi Stubbs, Abdul “Duke” Fakir, Renaldo “Obie” Benson and Lawrence Payton Jr., performed together for more than four decades, building their harmonies, chart-toping songs and success on the foundation of a friendship that began as teenagers.

Over the years The Four Tops’ repertoire has included doo-wop, jazz, soul music, R&B, disco, adult contemporary, hard rock and show tunes. They turned out dozens of chart-topping hits including, “Baby I Need Your Loving,” “Reach Out I’ll Be There,” “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch),” “It’s the Same Old Song” and “Ain’t No Woman Like the One I Got.”  In 1990, The Four Tops were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.
