For any young, middle-age, or mature persons – health, wellness, more youthful appearance, and fitness goals can be more easily attainable with proper diet, supplementation, and habits.

Ever since the age of bodybuilding, and or body sculpting washed upon the shores of our Golden State, it seems the majority have been attempting, albeit, experimenting with ideas and formulas put forth from the world of physique and fitness.

If Arnold Schwarzenegger from The Terminator (1984), or Lou Ferrigno from the TV series The Incredible Hulk told the then 80’s and 90’s TV audiences that to stay healthy, gain muscle and remain as youthful as possible that they would need to drink raw eggs every morning, consume five-thousand calories a day, make sure to soak up at least 20 minutes per day, and workout with heavy weights at least one-hour four days per week, back then, most would have listened and done so accordingly.  These “followers” of such TV and movie stars listened, and as result the health, wellness, and fitness boom in Southern California burst open like a packet of Starburst in a TV commercial. My apologies, since we discussing the subject of health and wellness, Starburst, a packet of sweets filled with sugar and other highly processed artificial flavorings and hazardous colorings, is a poor analogy. I digress… It is true though. Audiences back then listened more to those backlit by the spotlight of Hollywood, than they did mainstream media, doctors, and educators. Why, because they could see the tangible results right before their very eyes. Whatever these individuals were doing was working. Plain and simple.

Today, however, it seems anyone and everyone who has a social media account is portraying themselves to be the be-all and know-all of any subject known to mankind, and especially when it comes to health. Many of these “influencers” have never actually practiced what they preach, and merely repeat what they have “heard” may work. You may be familiar with the term – “Too many cooks in the kitchen.” How apropos for the subject we are discussing.

Living in such a tumultuous landscape of misinformation, and in some cases, flat out deception, does lead to mass-confusion. And with mass-confusion comes chaos, and cradles a nucleus for mistake after mistake to occur, and in some unfortunate cases, disaster to strike.

We at Clark’s Nutrition & Natural Foods Market have paced ourselves steadily at the forefront of the fitness and wellness industry in Southern California for over five decades. The reason for this, is due to our matter-of-fact, real-life, and hands-on involvement with the original wave of the health and fitness sectors as it washed ashore many moons ago.

Starkie Sowers, whom we discussed in our last Coachella Valley published feature article, who has been part of the Clark’s family for over four decades, began his career wanting to be in competitive bodybuilding. This was during the time of the greats such as Arnold, Lou, and Gary Strydom. These, and other giants knew precisely how to utilize a healthy, balanced diet, supplementation, and exercise to not only build muscle and lose fat, but to likewise preserve a more youthful appearance well into their mature years.

At Clark’s Nutrition & Natural Foods Market, our range of products, much like our vast professional knowledge of what it takes to create great health, marches ahead of our competitors.

If we were to compete upon the stages of a Mr. Olympia, or Mr. Universe contest, undeniably, it would be ours, Clarks’ hand that would be raised in victory.
