The Tilted Kilt Open Mic Competition brought a lot of new talent out for week #2! The audience cheered for their favorite musicians as well as for giveaways from the Mary Pickford Theater such as t-shirts, hats, sunglasses and movie tickets. At the end of the night, the enthusiastic crowd chose Marco Thoma as the first place winner! Marco, who rocked the mic with his unique vocal styling, took home a gift package and certificate from Skitzo Kitty and has now earned a spot in the Grand Finals. He’ll compete in the finals for the grand prizes of a 3 day/2 night trip to Las Vegas from Crater Lake Vodka, a $500 shopping spree at Guitar Center and a n entire weekend recording session with producer Ronnie King at his Chateau Relaxo to produce one mastered “radio ready” track. Second place went to newcomer and stunning vocalist Lt William Kelly who took home a movie ticket package to the Mary Pickford Theatre. Third place winners were Austin and Felipe who played a great tune and took home Dinner for Two at Riccio’s Steak, Seafood and Pasta.
I am so proud that our competition’s performers are really all about the music and coming out to perform for the fun and pleasure of it.
