We did it again at the Tilted Kilt Open Mic Competition! Week 9 brought 10 new talented musicians to perform, plus 7 of our veterans. The crowds were up on their feet competing among themselves for fantastic audience giveaways from the Mary Pickford Theater like movie tickets, cell phone cases, movie t-shirts and hats! The Tilted Kilt was full of energy while the crowd and the musicians cheered each other on. Then came LaDaryl Smith, last performer of the night. He wowed the audience with confident and consistent vocals, even taking a dance break mid-song! Needless to say LaDaryl won first place. He chose to take home a pair of movie tickets and concession credit from the Mary Pickford Theater and will now be competing in the finals for the grand prizes of $500 of music gear from Musicians Outlet, a studio demo recording from S.I.R. Entertainment Services and a 3 day trip to Las Vegas from Crater Lake Vodka! Second place went to newcomer, Kylie Jenkins aka Wonderwench taking home a $25 gift card to Musicians Outlet. Third place was awarded to Angel Medina and Tyler La Salle of MentalFlow who also chose to each take home a $25 gift card from Musicians Outlet.
