As the desert gears up for another massive year of live music, few stages carry the weight, and opportunity, of Stagecoach Festival. Known for spotlighting both legends and rising stars, the festival continues to be a proving ground for the next wave of country music, and this year, Ty Myers is stepping into that moment.

With a sound rooted in raw storytelling, bluesy undertones, and a modern country edge, Myers has been steadily building momentum on the road and in the studio. His rise hasn’t been overnight, it’s been earned through relentless touring, honest songwriting, and a growing fanbase that connects deeply with his music.

Now, with a Stagecoach debut on the horizon, Myers is ready to bring that energy to the Coachella Valley. We caught up with him to talk about the journey, the music, and what it means to play one of the biggest country stages in the world.

CVW: You’re hitting Stagecoach this year, what does it mean to you to be part of one of the biggest country festivals in the world?

Myers: I am going to hit this festival like I do every live show, with the understanding that it is Stagecoach. It is just going to be me doing what I do every night just with more eyes on it. I have prepared for it with more players, and we are going to make the music as big as we can.

CVW: For people in the Coachella Valley seeing you live for the first time, what kind of energy can they expect from your set?

Myers: All I hope is people walk away from it feeling like, “this kid loves music and it makes me love music too.”

CVW: Your sound blends country storytelling with blues and soul, who were the artists that shaped that mix for you early on?

Myers: Everyone from Willie Nelson to John Mayer to James Taylor and then some. The greats. I love the greats.

CVW: You’ve been grinding it out city by city, how has that road experience shaped you as a performer?

Myers: I have met people from every walk of life and every city and every state. We all just love and connect with music.

CVW: Your debut album The Select really put you on the map, what did that project teach you about yourself as an artist?

Myers: That people just connect with emotion.

CVW: You’re sharing stages and tours with some huge names, what’s the biggest lesson you’ve picked up from artists at that level?

Myers: Stay true to yourself and the music. The rest is superficial.

CVW: A lot of fans connect with your lyrics, do you write more from personal experience, or do you build stories around ideas?

Myers: I write from ideas and emotion. Sometimes I have an emotion, and I build a story around it. Sometimes it’s a true story from start to finish. I try not to get caught up in the nuance of a story, just tell it.

CVW: Stagecoach crowds can be wild and diverse, do you approach a festival set differently than a headline show?

Myers: A festival requires more energy because you can’t dictate the mood with lighting,  but other than that no.

CVW: You’ve already hit some major milestones early in your career, what’s the long-term vision for Ty Myers? Where do you want to take this next?

Myers: I want to keep making music. No more no less. Let’s do this together and have fun.

From small stages to one of the biggest festivals in the country, Ty Myers is clearly an artist on the rise, and Stagecoach Festival may just be another defining moment in a career that’s only getting started.

With an authentic sound and a work ethic to match, Myers represents the kind of artist that festival crowds love to discover before the rest of the world catches on. If his trajectory is any indication, it won’t be long before his name is much higher up on that lineup.

For now, Coachella Valley fans have the chance to catch him right as everything is taking off, and that’s a moment worth showing up for.
