Every day, in ways big and small, you make a difference. Sometimes we don’t realize it, but we do! It’s in the way you carry yourself, the way you smile, the way you speak, and even the energy you bring with you into a room that influences the people around you. It’s not about being the most outgoing, outrageous, loudest or being dressed to impress. It’s about showing up as yourself and being enough just as you are!
The Power of You
Think about the people in your life who make you feel comfortable and valued and connected. And, they do it consistently. It’s not about big, dramatic moments, it’s the way they listen, the warmth in their voice, their smile, a bug hug or the way they handle whatever life gives them with grace. Start noticing that is the kind of influence you have, too. The way you show up, even in the smallest ways, creates a ripple effect… but it’s easy to overlook this.
As women, we often underestimate the impact we have on others. It’s easy to feel like you’re just going through the motions, like what you do doesn’t really matter. But it does. People notice when you bring confidence, kindness, or quiet strength into a space. They feel your energy. And when you recognize your own presence, you step into a different vibe and kind of leadership that inspires others in ways you may not even see…so start paying attention and you will be surprised at your impact.
How is Your Energy Affecting Others?
We’ve all been around people whose mood lifts us up—and those who drain us. Whether you’re aware of it or not, your energy affects others. That doesn’t mean you have to be happy all the time or pretend things are fine when they’re not. It simply means being mindful of how you show up.
On days when you feel good, you probably notice that people respond differently. And on days when you’re struggling, your energy can affect others too. They may notice you are down or “off”. Small shifts—like taking a deep breath before a tough conversation, making eye contact when you greet someone, giving them a big smile, asking about them or offering a kind word—can make a bigger impact than you think.
Be Respectful to Yourself and Inspiration for Others
Being a source of inspiration isn’t about grand speeches or life-changing moments. It’s about showing up as your best self in the spaces you already occupy. It’s about treating people with respect, taking care of yourself so you can show up fully, and leading by example with grace and how you handle life’s ups and downs.
If you’ve ever questioned whether you’re making a difference, know this: You are. Someone sees how you handle challenges. Someone feels encouraged by your kindness. Someone appreciates your presence, even if they don’t say it.
So, keep showing up. Keep being the steady, quiet force that reminds others that strength, kindness, and authenticity matter. Because they do. And so do you.
