Pro wrestling is not just a form of entertainment. It’s a sport, a drama, a comedy, a motivational seminar, and as many may not be aware – a significant platform for raising awareness, and dedicating time to charitable causes.

As the Victoire Podcast on YouTube (search @victoirepodcast) evolved over the last several months, it came to our attention, that as much as we covered pro wrestlers encouraging and inspiring life story’s we now had a platform that could help children, and give back.

Many will be familiar with St. Jude Children’s Hospital and what it stands for. For those who may not be aware, St. Jude is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting children and families in-need of medical assistance, and for well over five decades the organization has proudly served families across the United States. Did you know that every penny donated to St. Jude goes directly to assisting children with, in many cases, life-saving treatment.

Victoire For Kids is a monthly series created within the Victoire Podcast portfolio. Every month, we host one, two, or up to three wrestlers who appear and answer questions to help aspiring wrestlers better understand the industry, expectations, and how to prepare for a career in the business.

Our first episode featured WWE and WCW pro wrestler Paul Roma. During the late 1980’s, early to mid-1990’s, Paul wrestled for WWF (before it became WWE) alongside tag team partners Jim Powers as “The Young Stallions”. Later, along with one of Paul’s best friends in life, he teamed with the late Hercules to form Power & Glory. Upon arriving in WCW, Paul became involved with several teams including “Pretty Wonderful” with the late Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndoff. Paul Roma was also a member of wrestling’s legendary “The Four Horseman”. In addition to Paul, the first episode of Victoire For Kids featured current AEW and ROH superstar, Peter Avalon. Peter is one of the most focused modern psychological wrestlers to wrestle for decades. Peter is also a trainer of the next generation of wrestlers. He currently wrestlers for AEW, ROH, performs in Mexico, and around the world.

In this month’s episode I was joined by Paul Roma and April Hom GLOW’s (Glamourous Ladies of Wrestling) The Royal Hawaiian. Find out the types of attitudes required to make it in pro wrestling, and learn from two of the very best what to do, and what not to do.
