I’ve always loved how this band has managed to evolve while staying true to their roots. Their 1973 breakout album Tres Hombres gave us the timeless hit “La Grange,” while 1983’s Eliminator took the world by storm with MTV favorites like “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Legs.”
Their ability to marry their gritty Texas blues sound with the synthesizer-laced vibe of the ’80s has cemented them as true rock pioneers. ZZ Top’s sound is as iconic as their bearded look, hotrod imagery, and unforgettable live performances.
This show will also be one of the band’s latest performances featuring longtime guitar tech Elwood Francis on bass, filling in the big shoes left by Dusty Hill after his passing in 2021. It’s incredible how ZZ Top has carried on the legacy with their trademark “Tone, Taste, and Tenacity” intact.
