Well in the Desert’s Annual Benefit Desert Jam – ‘Jammin’ in the Desert!’ returns with impressive line-up

After a year hiatus, the Valley’s top singers and musicians return to perform at the Well in the Desert’s yearly benefit concert, ‘Jammin’ in the Desert!’ on November 11, 2024

This year’s concert honors Colleen Veal, Sean Chuckas, and Greg Miuere; who have spent years working to serve over 1,000 families, homeless, and those with food insecurities each year on Christmas Day at the Convention Center for Well in the Desert. From food to toys, the support of hundreds of volunteers has brought joy to many families on Christmas Day. We honor these three special people!

The Well In The Desert presents its annual benefit concert, ‘Jammin’ in the Desert’, on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.. Being held at the Agua Caliente – Rancho Mirage ballroom, it will feature incredible musical performances, a live-auction, and a delicious buffet.

The annual concert funds the Well In The Desert and its daily battle against local hunger. The Well provides warm, nutritious meals to the Palm Springs area locally food-challanged individuals and families, homeless, addicted, and the mentally ill. Besides food services, the Well provides donated clothing, bedding, shelter, pet supplies, transportation, and bikes, as well as an array of services provided by local charities that focus on improving the lives of those on the streets.

In 2023, the Well provided 73,516 meals for free! The Well serves its meals at 4 local Churches, 6 days every week. The Well has served the local hunger-challenged for 24 years, and been the organization ‘go to’ when no one else cares. It is a 501-3c charity that is principally funded by private donors and grants.

This year’s concert brings the broad diversity of local Coachella Valley talent to the stage, accompanied by the Hearts of Soul band, led by Philly Joe Littel. Music starts with cocktails and piano music provided by Eric Frankson, with guest singers. The concert will feature the Valley’s finest singers; Keisha D, Frank DiSalvo, Hope Diamond, Patrice Morris, Yve Evans, Tony Grandberry, Bonnie G, Kristi King, Lisa Lynn Morgan, Chase Huna, Chris Bennett, Jeanie Cunningham of the musical ‘Off The Streets’, accompanied by composer Matt Naylor.

The Nov. 11th event will have a live auction, where attendees can bid for dinners at local restaurants, exotic trips, and other special offering. Tickets for The Well In The Desert’s annual ‘Jammin’ in the Desert!’ can be purchased by calling (415)310-0688. Individual tickets cost $175, or $1,750 for a table of ten. The Well In The Desert has been the last hope for the Valley’s homeless and starving for the last 24 years. Amazingly, the Well didn’t miss one meal during the years of the pandemic! Staffed by volunteers, the Well serves 250 to 400 meals daily, Mon. – Fri., and supplies food boxes to families on Saturdays.

Besides the benefit concert ‘Jammin’ in the Desert!’, the Well annually throws their Christmas Feast, held on December 25, 2024. This magical event provides not only a scrumptious Christmas meal to over 1,000 family members, but toys for all the girls and boys. For many, it’s the only time they get to see Santa Claus, get toys, and enjoy Christmas. The Christmas Feast is presented at the Palm Springs Convention Center. Doors open at 12 pm and festive event goes until 3 pm.
