The Palm Springs Air Museum’s 12th annual Props & Hops Craft Beer Fest guarantees an experience unlike any other on Saturday, November 23, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“Come and have some fantastic craft beer, great food, and enjoy a truly unique event,” said Fred Bell, Vice Chairman of the Palm Springs Air Museum.

The breweries are set up inside the 20,000 square foot General Ken Miles Hangar. General admission tickets are priced at $65 (excluding online fees) include glassware while supplies last plus eight taste tickets. The VIP ticket for $90 (excluding online fees) guarantees early entry at noon, with twelve taste tickets, and signature glassware. Food pairings will be offered during the VIP hour courtesy of Jackalope Ranch.

The brewery booths set up inside the Miles hangar are adjacent to vintage airplanes only a few feet away. The hangar doors, which are about 100 feet wide remain open, so attendees can mingle inside and out, sampling beers and watching the ramp, where aircraft will be taking off and landing throughout the afternoon.

Live music and food vendors complement the afternoon of beer tastings and vintage aircraft taking off and landing on the tarmac behind the museum. Guests can choose from over 40 craft beers and listen to great live music by John Stanley King and Desert Sol with sultry vocalist Horace Miller.

“Props & Hops is always a really fun, upbeat yet relaxing event. We have some great food vendors this year and the live music is really terrific… We do have a lot of local breweries and most of the breweries are from Southern California,” stated Ann Greer, the Public Relations Liaison for the Palm Springs Air Museum.

Additional beer tasting tickets are also for sale on site. No one under age 21 will be admitted to the event, no exceptions. However, friendly dogs of any age on leashes are very welcome. All attendees must have valid proof of age and must be over 21 years of age. Guests who bring infants will not be allowed entry.

Want to see the scenic Coachella Valley from inside an airplane and taste unique beer? Rare Beer Flights are on sale, as are other Warbird Rides. The other Warbird Ride aircraft for sale are the P-51 Mustang the T-6 Texan and the PT-17 Stearman.

Entry is off the South parking lot through the Southern Gate, south from the main museum entrance. Note that Craft Beer Festival tickets are only for the beer festival. Tickets to the rest of the museum will require a museum only ticket. The Palm Springs Air Museum is located at 745 North Gene Autry Trail, between Vista Chino and Ramon Road in Palm Springs. The media sponsor is NBC Palm Springs. Food vendors are Big Easy Sandwich, Uncle D’s Smokehouse, Jackalope Ranch, Nick’s Pizza, Party Pop, and Papa Headz.

“We are very pleased that Props & Hops has become an annual staple of the local brewers,” continued Palm Springs Air Museum Vice Chairman Fred Bell. “A huge thank you to all our sponsors and supporters. This event supports the education programs of the Museum.”
