If you’re looking for a magical way to kick off the holiday season, look no further than the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway’s “Sounds of the Holidays” concert series. Beginning December 4, this cherished annual tradition invites visitors to celebrate the season with live performances by talented high school choirs—set against the breathtaking backdrop of the San Jacinto Mountains.

At an elevation of 8,516 feet, the Tramway’s Mountain Station transforms into a festive setting where the air is crisp, the pine trees glisten, and the sounds of holiday favorites fill the atmosphere. This year’s concert lineup features some of the region’s finest young vocalists, delivering heartwarming renditions of seasonal classics.

2024 “Sounds of the Holidays” Lineup

Performances take place on select dates from December 4 through December 15, with two shows nightly at 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. All performances are included with regular Tramway admission. Here’s the schedule:

  • Wednesday, December 4: Martin Luther King High School Choir
  • Thursday, December 5: La Quinta High School Chamber Singers
  • Sunday, December 8: Palm Springs High School Choir and String Quartet (Special outdoor tree-lighting ceremony performance at 5:30 p.m. on the Desert View Terrace, followed by a 7:30 p.m. show inside)
  • Wednesday, December 11: Cathedral City High School Choirs
  • Thursday, December 12: Coachella Valley High School Concert Choir
  • Sunday, December 15: Encore High School for the Arts Madrigals
