“Better than Steroids”. It’s a bold statement – about as bold as the avid bodybuilder whose biceps have swelled beyond their limits.
Vanity never seems to come up short in our modern society. Everywhere we cast a gaze, and everything we overhear almost always and inevitably reverts to it, and it has apparently become the jet fuel that fires the rocket of our economy.
Never before in history (except perhaps – the ancient Greeks) has the silhouette of the human form been so heavily utilized to drive a culture’s narrative. There are those of an opinion that it’s becoming “too much”. Yet others scream at the top of their lungs, “There’s nothing wrong with being healthy and wanting to look your best”. It is of our humble opinion that both statements are correct.
Whatever side you find yourself latching onto, there is no denying that this is the day and age in which we live, and there is no escape. Singing along to Tears for Fears “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” won’t help you. To those who do say “it’s too much”, we reply; anyone who chooses to entirely ignore their health and physical presentation is inviting trouble to birth within their earthly vessels.
When discussing, or even contemplating the topic of physical fitness and its esthetics the image of over-inflated or streamlined muscles with next to zero bodyfat is unanimously summoned. In the world of entertainment, pop culture figures such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jane Fonda, Susan Sommers, Dwayne Johnson, and Sylvester Stallone manifest. To the outsider, the immediate critique is that (at least concerning the males of this short list), they must have utilized muscle-enhancing drugs in order to obtain their not-so-natural physical appearance. If your mind does lean in that direction, you have a good head on your shoulders.
Steroids and other muscle-enhancing supplements (that do host fatal side effects, and are illegal unless prescribed by a medical practitioner for the condition they were created to treat) have been around and used illegally by individuals on a quest for physical improvement for decades. The truth is that steroids were not primarily developed to be used for muscle-building and fat loss. Nor are they designed to balance hormones. In fact, certain steroids such as Metandienone, better known as Dianabol was manufactured for the treatment of muscle-loss for the elderly, cancer patients, and those with AIDS. Steroids such as Dianabol deliver users a quick punch of muscle bloating and strength, packed with a myriad of unwanted side-effects. Some that can eventually lead to an untimely and uncomfortable death.
For the human body to function at its best, muscle growth, endurance, energy and recuperation, hormones must be regulated and working optimally. In the case of physical fitness and improvement – an individual can choose to experiment with steroids, and can expect to witness results deemed, “body transformation”. However, the temporary “quick-fix” that said individual witnesses one week may be entirely deflated within the six that follow, and accompanied by reduced natural hormone levels, impotency (in males) and other potentially disastrous health conditions.
If your goal is to get muscles to pump, and for your endurance during workouts to last longer, simply throw a few pinches of salt in a cup of coffee, tea, water, or sports drink prior to your workout. Giving your body the extra salt reserves can lead to a better and stronger workout combined with a natural pump. However, if your goal is to truly reshape your exterior and heal your interior – the healthy way – and keep your new-found muscles, lower bodyfat, and health [minus nasty and sometimes fatal side effects], then you need bio-identical hormone replacement therapy NOW. If you are unable to build lean muscle, or lose bodyfat (men and women alike) it could be that your hormones are not functioning optimally. So, who are you going to call?
