Halloween is fast approaching. Would you like to do something unique, fun and memorable? Something that captures the spirit of Halloween but exudes sophistication and exclusivity? Wandering supper club PS Underground has just the thing.
“Bite – Embrace the Dark” is their offering for this, the most ghoulish of holidays. Held on October 29th, 30th and 31st, “Bite” will be at a location disclosed to you by email 24 hours before your experience. This multi-course dinner of gothic proportions with free-flowing blood, I mean, wine will combine the creative culinary skills and theatrics for which PS Underground have become all the rave in culinary circles.
One of their recent dinners converted a restaurant into the Titanic for a night. Bathed in blue light, diners were invited to a re-creation of the dining hall on the Titanic. Dinner, music and surroundings simulated the last supper on the Titanic before its tragic sinking.
Another dinner was held in a photography studio. The typically white walls were transformed into a visual experience. For one course, you were underwater with fish swimming about. During another course, you were surrounded by fire with fire bubbling from the center of the table. Interspersed throughout the dinner, servers engaged in performance art.
Headquartered at ShareKitchen, PS Underground creators Michael Fietsam and David Horgen have become stars of the local culinary scene via their one-of-a-kind dining experiences. Initially avoiding the spotlight and preferring to keep their evening’s word of mouth affairs, their success has made their low key approach hard to keep underground…and for good reason…there is nothing else like their monthly dinners in the Coachella Valley.
