The City of Indio invites residents and visitors to ring in the holiday season with its much-anticipated annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, taking place on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5 to 10 p.m. in Downtown Indio at the corner of Towne Street and Bliss Avenue. This festive celebration will feature a wide variety of holiday-themed activities, including live entertainment, community performances, a kids’ zone, and delicious offerings from local food trucks.
The evening’s highlight will be the arrival of Santa Claus himself, adding an extra touch of magic as he meets with children and families for memorable holiday photo opportunities. Indio’s annual tree lighting event is designed to bring the community together in the spirit of the season, creating an inviting, family-friendly atmosphere for all ages.
“This special event is about more than lighting a tree—it’s about lighting up the spirit of community and connection here in Indio,” said Mayor Lupe Ramos Amith. “We’re thrilled to invite everyone to Downtown Indio to experience this festive tradition, as we celebrate the joy and warmth of the season together.”
