As the proud Owner/Publisher/Editor of CV Weekly I would like to say a big Thank You to many people who have made the last 2 years possible. First, I would like to tell my CV Weekly team how much I appreciate each and every one of them for all their hard work and contribution. This is truly a team effort and I have the best. I won’t list them all here as their names are all on page 3 every week.
Second, I would like to thank our advertisers, many who have been with us since the very beginning and took a chance on a new publication. We will continue to work hard to ensure that advertising with CV Weekly brings you the best results.
Next, I would like to thank our readers. Some of you have been with us from the beginning and others have just recently discovered us. We will do our best to provide you with a publication filled with a full spectrum of feature articles and columns.
Finally, I would like to thank my family and close friends who tolerate me constantly eating, sleeping and breathing CV Weekly. It is the only way we could have made the 2 Year mark.
We have many exciting things up our sleeve for the future. We will be incorporating a few new columns throughout the summer. We also have many CV Weekly events that we will be sponsoring and producing including the CV Music Awards, which will be held on Sunday, May 18 at Riviera in Palm Springs and CV Weekly’s Best of Luncheon Awards to also be held in May (date to be announced).
Last year these two events were combined with our 1 Year Anniversary party but, this year we are having three separate events.
The voting for these two events will begin this Thursday on our website www.coachellavalleyweekly.com and will end on Thursday, April 24. Readers will be able to go to the website and vote for their favorites in many categories such as music, restaurants, businesses and charities. There are 5 nominees in each category and they were chosen by a group of approximately 150 people in the CV from all types of businesses so we could get a well-rounded selection of nominees.
You will only be able to vote ONE time from each computer to ensure that the results are as fair as possible to all that are nominated.
The CV Music Awards will have many bands and artists that are nominated performing one song each and awards being given out in between. A fabulous after party will follow. More info will be announced in the coming weeks. This is an event you won’t want to miss.
Another event you don’t want to miss is CV Weekly’s 2 Year Anniversary Party combined with Schmidy’s 1 Year Anniversary to be held this Saturday, March 29 from 2pm until 1am. There will be bands and acoustic artists playing throughout the day and night along with fantastic food and drink specials. This is a FREE event so we invite you to come celebrate with us.
