Coachella’s “unofficial” stage might not be listed on the official schedule, but Do LaB remains a diehard festival favorite for a reason.

Known for their immersive, art-forward and intimate experiences, Do LaB creates its own festival-within-a-festival vibe with top EDM and underground artists, larger-than-life art installations, and a space that is all its own. It’s a draw on its own for many looking to enjoy their favorite underground DJs and EDM artists, especially to catch the (major) surprise guests Do LaB is known for bringing to the stage.

It’s become a Do LaB staple: surprise sets and appearances by major artists throughout both weekends. This year, Weekend 1 saw the likes of Katy Perry surprising the crowd during Mia Moretti’s debut as a DJ, and Billie Eilish previewing a few new tracks while on the Do LaB stage. Surprise acts from Weekend 2 included Troyboi, Gryffin, and Marc Rebillet.

It’s an experience unique to Coachella, dancing to a surprise Marc Rebillet DJ set under larger-than-life art installations reminiscent of giant mushrooms and coral reefs or watching Billie Eilish chat up the crowd under the desert sun. If you’ve never checked out the Do LaB stage at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, you’re missing out on one of the most uniquely Coachella experience on the polo grounds.

This year’s Do LaB lineup included BODY HI by Alesso, Chase & Status, Channel Tres (DJ Set), DJ Tennis, Sam Gellaitry, Nikki Nair x Hudson Mohawke, KETBOI69 (KETTAMA B2B Partiboi69), salute, Anna Lunoe, Hamdi, The Dare (DJ Set), Dylan Brady, Kasbo, HoneyLuv, Sultan + Shepard, and Westend.

If you missed out on this year’s performances, don’t worry: Do LaB’s founders also produce the highly popular Lightning in a Bottle festival near Bakersfield, CA next month. The Memorial Day weekend festival will include performances by Skrillex, Fatboy Slim, Bob Moses, M.I.A., and more. For more information, visit libfestival.org.
