“Our experiences as a physical being on Earth are framed within a finite period of time, whereas our souls are eternal. Our souls are not restricted by the concept of linear time to learn; therefore, we have the freedom to gain different perspectives on our soul lessons through a multitude of different incarnations if we so choose.” Gratitude + Forgiveness X (Love) = Happiness, by Aimee Mosco and Donald L. Ferguson, page 4.
Some of us believe in reincarnation and others do not. Reincarnation is not universally accepted as fact for a multitude of reasons. There is little to no concrete evidence that it is real, and the concept itself does not align with various religious beliefs, to name a couple of those reasons. So, how can we know that reincarnation is not just a story?
The short answer to that is, we can’t really, but if we are willing to explore the idea based on our own experiences and intuitive nudgings, we may just find that the idea of reincarnation has some serious merit. It may answer some of our burning questions, such as why we have unexplained and unreasonable phobias. It also shines light on why we might feel drawn to specific people with no worldly explanation to support the attraction.
If you are a person who believes that your soul is eternal but challenges the validity of reincarnation, have you considered how the length of one lifetime compares to eternity? One lifetime in comparison is like a drop of water in the ocean. If you also believe that you are here in a body to grow the eternal part of yourself, and you accept the fact that you are learning valuable lessons, isn’t it conceivable that your soul may opt to participate in other similar learning opportunities?
The dictionary definition of “reincarnation” varies slightly depending upon the source. It is a good place to start with your exploration, but a deeper dive into the potential significance of this phenomenon that can neither be proven nor disproved by conventional means, may shift your conscious perspective on the topic. When you start asking questions about your higher spiritual functions, your soul responds. If you express a genuine interest in knowing whether or not reincarnation is valid or applicable to you, and something in which you are participating, your soul will guide you to your truth.
Be open and sincere in your exploration. Ask thoughtful questions of your soul about potential past lives and see if you can draw parallels between the lessons presented in other incarnations and the lessons you are learning in your current life. Hold your judgments and expect your truth to be delivered through your own observations rather than through someone else’s account of their experiences. This is how you discern from within if reincarnation is real for you.
