The New Year is upon us and with it a new season of events here in the desert. In 2017 I plan to do a series of private jazz parties that are 420 friendly. Although we have a wonderful selection of big jazz events here in the desert, I enjoy a smaller venue where you’re one on one with the artists. I also prefer a party instead of a concert atmosphere where you can move around and dance.
I wanted to do something different in that arena and with the suggestion by Lilly Barillari, we looked at a couple of estates for a party.
Lilly showed me a mansion, a contemporary masterpiece with a discotheque upstairs, multi levels with decks, water features, fireplaces and views of Palm Springs below. Although it’s 6,000 square feet we are capping the attendance at 120. Liquor, wine, and food tastings will also be included in the party. The party is both indoors and outdoors on the beautiful decks surrounding the home.
Sunday, January 29 from 4:20 until 7:30 we will be having the first party, a sunset soiree with great people, dancing, jazz, blues, R & B and some surprise guest artists. I’m calling it “Jazz at the Mansion”.
We have Hans Zermuehlen on keys (performed with Rick Braun, Jeff Lorber, Steve Oliver, Kirk Whalum, Dave Koz, Mindi Abair, Brian Simpson, Blake Aaron, Slim Man, Michael Lington), Andrew Ford on bass, (performed with Al Jarreau, Whitney Houston, Barry Manilow, George Duke, James Ingram, Dianne Reeves), Greg Vail on sax (over 2 million CDs sold) Keisha D on vocals (Mc Callum ‘Open Call’ winner), and Mark Gagliano on percussion.
It’s going to be a private party, by invitation only. If you are interested in getting on the invited list text me at 702-219-6777 with your name and email. Tickets will not be offered to the public. You will receive the address for the party with your ticket. Only 100 tickets are available. Happy New Year!
