TRY THE TASTY NEW COCHINITA PIBIL TORTA AND COOL PASSIONFRUIT MARGARITA
Las Casuelas Terraza, celebrating its 36th anniversary in their iconic downtown Palm Springs location, has announced two new summertime menu additions perfect for all day dining. The cochinita pibil torta (translated in both Mayan and Spanish as “underground roasted pork sandwich”) is a tropical Mexican classic. The tender pork meat is marinated in annatto seeds, fresh citrus, spices, and finished with a mango salsa, black beans, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and red onion served on a house baked bolillo roll. Offered with fries, it’s on the menu for $12.95.
To cool down on a hot summer day or evening under the palapa on the patio at Las Casuelas Terraza, a passion fruit margarita is being poured with the ultra-premium Casamigos Blanco Tequila and house made passion fruit liqueur and fresh lime juice. This refreshing and tasty cocktail is offered for $8.95.
“Our summer specials are light and refreshing,” said Patrick Service, general manager of Las Casuelas Terraza. “There’s nothing better than a delicious sandwich and a cold margarita on a hot summer day.”
Las Casuelas Terraza is a downtown Palm Springs landmark with its two outdoor patios, high arched ceilings and world-class Mexican food and remains one of the most popular destinations in the Coachella Valley with its outdoor palapa bar, live music and dancing under the desert stars, nightly.
With nearly 100 tequilas and mescals offered from its Tequila Hall of Fame, a large selection of Mexican beers and an extensive menu offering award-winning Mexican-American cuisine, Las Casuelas Terraza is popular with locals and visitors dining in Palm Springs. Additionally, the full menu is offered “to-go” from the kitchen door, at Pronto behind the main restaurant.
