The Roost Lounge Presents: Optimistic Voices featuring Mary Callanan & Brian Patton. This one-hour virtual cabaret will take place on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 7:00 PM Pacific. Mary Callanan and pianist Brian Patton have worked together on and off for 35 years. They have performed cabarets in Boston, New York, Provincetown, and on cruise ships. They will perform songs “It’s A Most Unusual Day,” “I Love Being Here with You,” and “Sing Happy,” on CVRep’s virtual stage. Register for this free event at cvrep.org.
Callanan and Patton are currently performing a weekly Facebook live program titled “Tipsy Tuesday” that has hundreds of viewers each week. Callanan first appeared on Broadway in the 2012 revival of Annie. She also played Rosie in the closing company of Mamma Mia! and originated the role of Jean Ann Ryan in the Tony-winning Bandstand.
Patton is an accomplished pianist and arranger, having done all the arrangements for the vocal groups 16 & Savoy and At the Movies. He has accompanied Marilyn Maye and Jackie Hoffman and led Joan Rivers’ onstage band during her later Boston appearances.
