On May 18, multi-platinum musician Aaron Lewis will be performing at the Spotlight Showroom at Spotlight 29 Casino for an 8 p.m. performance. The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians will host this event held at the center of the Coachella Valley’s best entertainment.
The “Aaron Lewis Acoustic” set at Spotlight Showroom is part of Lewis’ 2023 Acoustic Tour. Lewis grew up in Springfield, Vermont, listening to his grandparents’ country 8-tracks. Those roots inspired the founder of the multi-platinum metal rock band Staind to return to his origins for the #1 Billboard Country Album debut Town Line and Sinner, as well as Billboard’s #1 Hot Country Song debut, “Am I The Only One,” only the 9th time since 1958.
Having recorded with George Jones, Willie Nelson, Charlie Daniels, Alison Krauss, and Vince Gill, Lewis has put a traditionalist brand on his outlier country. His latest album, Frayed At Both Ends, offers the hard-touring/ 15-million-selling workingman’s country star at his most personal and unplugged, making for an intimate record that reflects his 2023 acoustic tour.
Lewis was also featured on the song “No Sex” by Limp Bizkit on their album Significant Other. He was also featured on a remix of the song “Crawling” on Linkin Park’s first remix album Reanimation (titled as “Krwlng” on the remix album). He contributed vocals to the song “Follow” by Sevendust from Animosity, and to the songs “Bleed” and “Send in the Clowns” by the band Cold from 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage. He’s also featured on Jimmie’s Chicken Shack’s song “Falling Out”, the only single off their 2004 album re.present. In December 2010, while promoting his Town Line album, Lewis collaborated with Corey Taylor for a one-night-only acoustic duet show covering songs such as Pearl Jam’s “Black”, Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb”, and Alice in Chains’ “Down in a Hole”.
